Yoga Chapel:  Moving into Lent

Tuesday, March 4 (6 pm supper) to Thursday, March 6 (1 pm)

Yoga Chapel is a mobile ministry that weaves together the art of Christian storytelling with the wisdom of the physical yoga practice. Each day we will be nurtured spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically as we move to Lenten meditations inspired by the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament. Our practice will incorporate various spiritual practices and forms of prayer, discussions about Lent and Scripture, and a variety of yoga styles, including vinyasa, yin and restorative. All levels are welcome!  This program is designed for lay people, church leaders and ministers who are looking for a personal Lenten retreat as well as seeking a nourishing time that will also help prepare them to lead their communities into Lent.

Participants are asked to bring:

bulletComfortable clothes you can move and stretch in
bulletYoga mat (and props if you have them)
bulletBlanket for final resting pose (“savasana”) - optional
bulletNotebook/Journal and a pen/pencil
bulletAn open heart and an open mind!
