Building Communities of Care
A Pastoral Care Series
With congregations struggling to meet
pastoral care needs,
perhaps it's time to reflect upon our Christian roots
and return to a model where this ministry is the
responsibility of the whole community.
The full series will
be offered over the course of 4 weekends and people
may participate in any or all of the retreats.
The retreats
include:
·
Introduction to Pastoral Care (
November 4-6, 2011)
·
Building Pastoral Care Teams
(April 20-22, 2012)
·
Providing Pastoral Care During Transitional Times in
Life (October 26-28, 2012)
·
The
Role of Pastoral Care in Health and Wellness (TBA)
Each retreat will
help participants build upon the essential pastoral
care components of self-reflection, holy listening,
and empathy as we explore specific themes.
People may
participate in any or all of the retreat weekends.
