Calling Lakes Centre is a wonderful place for a congregational retreat. Comfortable facilities and tasty meals add to the pleasure of any event. The beauty and spirit of the Centre promote the formation of community on a deeper level than is possible amidst the distractions and busy-ness of every day. If available, staff are ready and willing to provide leadership for your congregation’s retreat if you desire. We would like to be part of such a life giving event for your congregation. Call us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs and budget.

Retreat has been defined as
a time for breaking the patterns of one’s life,
in order to reflect on those patterns and
to see what new patterns need to emerge.

Personal Retreats

Are you considering a personal retreat? Or is a group to which you belong looking for a place to hold a retreat? Individuals or groups are welcome to spend a day, a week, or more at Calling Lakes Centre on directed or undirected retreat. Calling Lakes Centre offers time and space for you to step out from the busyness of life for a time apart to read, reflect and rest.

If you desire direction there are spiritual guides at the centre and in the area to facilitate your retreat. If you choose to direct your own group retreat, our staff will do everything possible to make your retreat as meaningful as possible. Our program staff may also be available to assist in the development of a retreat process. (For this, please call well in advance to check availability of program staff).

Whether your retreat is directed or undirected, Calling Lakes Centre has much to offer you. Single or shared rooms, quiet spaces, library/reading room, spacious lounge with fireplace, delicious and nutritious home cooked meals, and a beautiful natural setting with a walking path. Please consider Calling Lakes Centre when planning your next retreat. Call for our affordable rates and more information.

"The natural cycles of spiritual life
that carry us away to mystic solitude
eventually return us to some form of community."
-- Jack Kornfield
