It is always a sad moment when
one realizes that old friends may be near the end of their
working lives. We have gradually become aware that this holds
true for much of the Lounge furniture. Some of the small couches
have been serving the Centre since the 60’s.
We would like to
purchase comfortable occasional chairs to replace our ancient
furniture. It appears that chairs are most useful because they
can be easily arranged in a variety of ways and each person has
his or her own space. We will be looking for light, yet strong,
comfortable chairs. The price for each chair will be around $150
to $225. We want to purchase chairs that will last a long time,
following the tradition of the current furniture!
If any individual or group would like to give a specific
donation for chairs for the Lounge, we would use the gift for
that purpose and will keep a record of these donations.
