Calling Lakes has been the
grateful recipient of special donations inspired by two former
Board chairpersons and their spouses.
Ivan and Frances Smith
celebrated their 50
th
anniversary in 2004 and Darrell and Karen Reine celebrated their
25th
in July 2006. Both couples suggested
to their friends and family that donations to Calling Lakes
Centre would be a wonderful gift for them. The Centre received
$1,621 through these generous actions.
Ivan was chair of the Board from 1992 to 1994 and Darrell
chaired the Board between 1997 and 2002. Both Ivan and Darrell
have actively supported the Centre in many, many ways before and
after their terms with the Board.
