Each season brings changes, and so too for
Calling Lakes Staff.
Summer brought wedding celebrations for our lead
housekeeper Jackie (Welder) Kirstein and program contract
staff Jennifer (Christoffel) Krall. For Communications
Coordinator Debra Brown, the summer was a time of
accompanying her mother Marjorie (Brown) Mathew during her final
days of a long illness.
Coordination of the bookstore is in transition.
Holly Schick is now responsible for choosing and ordering
books. She will work with Kate Hersberger who will unpack
boxes, enter books into the inventory and get them on the
shelves as soon as possible. We thank Jim Von Riesen for
his many years of tending the bookstore as program staff and
more recently on contract basis.
It is official! Executive Director Linda
Anderson will be retiring in the summer of 2010. As we
prepare for this change (sometimes referred to as "that which we
would like to forget"), we are grateful for the many years that
Linda has guided the Centre and for the many changes and
improvements during that time.
