We welcome Annette Taylor as the next Executive Director of Calling Lakes Centre. Annette will begin her work with the Centre on August 1, 2010. Annette has considerable experience in organizational management, financial management and working in teams. She comes with a keen interest in adult education and a dedication to life-long learning. Annette has been in ministry with Living Shamrock Pastoral Charge since July of 2005.

Debra Brown, Communication Coordinator, has let us know that she wishes to leave her employment at the Centre to pursue other options. Her first option is some peaceful summer time at her farm. (We could become envious!) Debra’s creativeness and eye for colour and design have meant that Centre publications have dramatically changed over the years she has been here (since 2000). Her gentle, wise presence will be greatly missed, but we expect that she will gift us with visits now and then.

We are extremely fortunate that Joan Tessier, long time participant in Centre programs and member of the Board, has decided to become part of our staff and assume the responsibility of Communication Coordinator.

You may notice some new casual staff in the kitchen, housekeeping or office. They are learning the ropes so as to be ready for the really busy times at the Centre.
