Fruit Trees |

Did you know that southerly
slopes may well support plants and trees that usually grow
further south? Can you envision fruit trees growing on the south
slopes of Calling Lakes? We will be cultivating the former
flower bed on the hillside and preparing it for fruit trees.
Probably apple trees will be our first choice (think of
home-made apple pies!) |

Two people already have offered to
donate trees to honour significant persons or events. As we
place a variety of trees on our grounds, there may be others who
would like to donate a tree. We would place a plaque to explain
the significance of the tree. Calling Lakes does have to
determine the types of trees needed and their placement, but we
would love to hear from anyone who would like to donate a tree.
We estimate that buying and planting the tree and placing a
plaque would cost approximately $100. |
