Creation
Vacation |

...Exploring the Spirituality of
our Prairie Place |
|
Calling Lakes Centre has become a summer hot
spot! Building on the very successful Summer at the Centre, 2009
will see the beginning of a new summer program – Creation
Vacation (July 6 to 10). This program is a unique
opportunity for all ages to explore the Spirituality of Place
with prairie artists, writers and musicians. In addition to
daily creative experiences, you can expect some laughs and
giggles and tender moments around the campfire, during times of
quiet reflection, and while playing games and sharing meals
together.
Among the artists guiding us will be:
Heather Bishop
has had a musical career spanning 3 decades. She has performed
for both children and adults around the world and has garnered
numerous awards including JUNO nominations and Parent’s Choice
Gold Awards. Heather is releasing a new CD this spring.
Gail Bowen
is the "compulsively
readable" author of the Joanne Kilbourn mystery series set is
southern Saskatchewan. She is currently the Writer-in-Residence
at the Toronto Public Library and has received many awards for
her books and plays.
Monica Fraske Bornyk
is an artist from Yorkton who has worked with watercolors and
india ink to capture the details of the natural world.
Laurel Dykstra
is a community-based popular educator and author who engages
each learner’s heart, mind, body and spirit. She can teach you
how to make a puppet, to create an expression of your deepest
beliefs, and to walk on stilts!

Here’s your chance to take a vacation
that leaves you deeply connected,
fully energized,
and more in touch with your creative spirit.
This summer, take a Creation Vacation! |
