Cookies, Bars & Candy

BROWNIES 
Marlene Taylor, Kirkfield Park United, Winnipeg

cup butter or margarine 2 eggs
6 Tbsp cocoa t. salt
1 cup sugar 2/3 c. flour
t. vanilla cup chopped walnuts
Melt butter and cocoa together over low heat. Cool. Beat in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add remaining ingredients and beat again. Bake in 8 inch square pan at 325 for 35-40 minutes. Ice with chocolate butter icing and sprinkle with crushed walnuts if desired.
