MARASCHINO CHERRY DROPS 
Nadia Hargreaves, Kirkfield Park United, Winnipeg, MB

2 cups peanut butter 2 Tbsp margarine (room temperature)
3 Tbsp pecans or walnuts, chopped fine 2 cups maraschino cherries, stems on
tsp vanilla lb. Bakers semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup icing sugar
Blend first 5 ingredients and refrigerate. Wash cherries in cold water and dry on a paper towel. Roll part of the mixture in a log or cigar shape and cut into walnut size pieces. Roll into balls, then dent the centres. Wrap around cherries and mold into pear shapes. Place on a wax papered tray. Refrigerate. Melt the chocolate. Dip cherries in chocolate to finish.
