MOCK CHERRY PIE 
Agnes Lee Harland, formerly of Emo, ON

2 crust pastry 1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup cranberries (cut open, seeds removed) 1 Tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in small amount of cold water
1/2 cup chopped raisins 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
Boil together until berries and raisins are cooked. Thicken with cornstarch. Add vanilla. Cool. Pour into pastry shell and cover. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
