A Cookbook of Memories

Cakes, Pies and Desserts

CRUMB CAKE 
Irene Nagel, Moose Jaw, SK

2 cups flour 1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar  1/2 tsp cloves
3/4 cup butter 1 egg
1 cup sour milk (can be 7/8 cup milk + 2 Tbsp vinegar) 1 cup raisins
1 tsp soda
Mix flour, brown sugar and butter, rub into crumbs. Reserve one cup of crumb mixture for topping. Mix remaining ingredients together and place in greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle cup of crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
