Salads and Side Dishes

SALAD DRESSING 
Sceptre UCW, Sceptre, SK

1 cup sugar 1 Tbsp flour
2/3 cup vinegar 2 dessert spoons mustard
2/3 cup water 1 tsp salt
4 eggs 1 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp cream or milk
Mix together sugar, flour, salt, and mustard into a paste with cream. Add water, vinegar and well beaten eggs. Cook until thickened. Remove from stove and add butter. This is the salad dressing we use on the cabbage salad for our annual fowl supper.
